Security Policy

Purpose
BrainzTalks is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of its platforms, applications, APIs, learning systems, internship portals, assessment systems and related digital services. This Security Policy outlines the security expectations applicable to all users, contributors, interns, customers, vendors and partners.
Acceptable Use
Users must access and use BrainzTalks services only for lawful, authorized and legitimate purposes. All platform activities must comply with applicable laws, regulations, intellectual property rights and ethical standards. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and any actions performed under their credentials.
Account Security
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials, passwords, authentication tokens and access keys. Password sharing, credential reuse, unauthorized account transfers or allowing third parties to access an account is prohibited. Users must immediately notify BrainzTalks of any suspected unauthorized access or security incident.
Prohibited Activities
Users shall not engage in activities including but not limited to malware distribution, phishing, credential theft, unauthorized vulnerability scanning, denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized data extraction, web scraping, automated harvesting of content, reverse engineering, source code extraction, bypassing security controls, account sharing, API abuse, exploitation of system vulnerabilities or attempts to gain unauthorized access to systems, networks or data.
API and Platform Protection
Automated requests must comply with published API limits and usage requirements. Users may not interfere with platform operations, circumvent rate limits, manipulate assessments, abuse AI systems, generate excessive traffic, create fake accounts or use bots in ways that negatively affect platform availability or security.
Monitoring and Logging
BrainzTalks may collect, monitor, analyze and retain security logs, audit records, network activity, authentication events and system telemetry for security, compliance, operational monitoring, fraud prevention and incident investigation purposes. Monitoring activities may occur without prior notice where permitted by applicable law.
Vulnerability Reporting
Individuals who identify potential security vulnerabilities are encouraged to report them responsibly to BrainzTalks. Users must not publicly disclose vulnerabilities, exploit weaknesses, access unauthorized data or disrupt services while conducting security research. Good-faith vulnerability reports will be reviewed and investigated appropriately.
Data Protection Measures
BrainzTalks implements reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data and platform resources. Security controls may include access management, encryption, monitoring, backup procedures, authentication controls, infrastructure security measures and periodic security reviews.
Third-Party Services
Certain services may rely on third-party cloud providers, payment processors, communication platforms, analytics providers and infrastructure partners. While BrainzTalks performs reasonable vendor selection and oversight, it cannot guarantee the security practices of independent third-party providers.
Security Incidents
BrainzTalks reserves the right to investigate suspected security incidents, restrict access, suspend accounts, preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities where necessary to protect users, systems and business operations.
Account Suspension
BrainzTalks may suspend, restrict or permanently terminate access to any account that violates this Security Policy, threatens platform security, disrupts services, compromises other users, violates applicable laws or creates unacceptable operational or legal risk.
No Security Guarantee
Although BrainzTalks maintains security controls and continuously improves protective measures, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge that cybersecurity risks, unauthorized access attempts and unforeseen vulnerabilities may exist despite reasonable safeguards.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrainzTalks shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from security incidents, cyberattacks, unauthorized access, service disruptions, data loss or other security-related events.
Policy Updates
BrainzTalks may update this Security Policy from time to time to reflect operational, technical, legal or regulatory changes. Continued use of the platform after publication of updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Governing Law
These terms and policies shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in accordance with applicable laws.
